K9s For Warriors is the nation’s largest provider of service dogs to veterans suffering from the invisible wounds of war, such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Our unique, in-house program helps change the lives of American heroes by pairing them with a battle buddy, who was likely a rescue dog and then teaching him or her to utilize that dog to mitigate the symptoms of their wounds. Qualifications And Education Requirements • 4-year degree in graphic design, multimedia applications or related discipline preferred • 3+ years of experience in graphic design or other creative field • Expert Proficiency in Adobe Programs: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat • Proficiency in Microsoft programs: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Knowledge of marketing, advertising, design, and public relations best practices, laws, and guidelines • Must be passionate about social issues, primarily breaking down the stigmas associated with mental health and veteran PTSD and be able to produce content on the following subjects: military relations, veteran affairs, PTSD, traumatic brain injury, military sexual trauma, service dog relations, animal welfare, veteran suicide, program success, etc. • Good verbal and written communication skills • Attention to detail • A wide degree of creativity and adaptability is expected • Collaborator that knows the whole is greater than the sum of its parts • Ability to think outside the box, and communicate big cutting-edge ideas • Ability to remain calm in crisis situations • Detail oriented, organized and efficient multitasker • Understanding of advanced graphic design mechanisms such as: live tracing, pen tool, clipping masks, and manipulating imagery and typography • Knowledge of military branches and veteran affairs • A wide degree of creativity and adaptability is expected • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under tight deadlines • Must be able to prioritize tasks
