Graphic Designer

Essential responsibilities include the development of all creative materials and marketing communications - from initial concepts, to design, through... production, including but not limited to branding, social media content, web and digital design, and campaigns. Working within a government contracting firm is a plus. Responsibilities • Conceptualize, design, and execute creative campaigns across platforms • Create design and branding elements for traditional marketing such as fact sheets, brochures, social and digital content, infographics, collateral material for events, email marketing, multi-media presentations, motion graphics, and web design • Work with the communications and project teams to understand what drives and moves clients and consumers to receive information that drives social and behavioral changes • Lead UX/UI digital design systems across web and mobile experiences • Elevate corporate and client brands in social media • Lead the creative direction, vision, planning and execution photography and video shoots • Ensure 508 compliance of all digital and web related products • Identify external creative agencies, photographers, video producers and other third parties as needed Qualifications • Degree in Graphic Design/Graphic Art or equivalent • 5-10 years of industry experience as graphic designer • Experience working within a fast-paced deadline driven environment • Strong cutting-edge portfolio exhibiting concept and original design that showcases fresh thinking and creative approaches • Demonstrated experience in Section 508 Compliance • The ability to operate autonomously and within a team environment • Advanced knowledge in PC and MAC based software including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva and the Microsoft Office Suite • Experience with .gif animation, motion / interactive graphics, and video editing (Final Cut, After Effects, Premiere). • Working within a government contracting firm is a plus • Passion for public health, community engagement is a bonus • Bonus skills: illustration, photography, videography/video production, retouching, HTML.
