Graphic Designer

Essential Job Functions: • Offset and digital “On Press” color matching experience • Pre-Press Technician skills required: Lays out jobs for printing and binding using a variety of graphic software applications to work with technical layout and components in order to set traps, produce halftones, duotones, and verify or install fonts on electronical copy from customers, for one-color, multi-spot color, or four-color process jobs • Prepares layouts and graphic designs upon request of customers and assists with associated pre-press functions such as setting up file imposition for best fit on a press sheet or large format substrates • Retrieving and storing files on the departmental server, retrieving files from the department shared folder • Review final layouts with sales and customers; solicit input on changes; suggest improvements as needed; revise designs and make necessary changes while keeping our production process in mind • Test & maintain color management process integrity from scanned input to final output to ensure color perfect results • Work with our digital print departments to develop and create print ready files, mechanicals, and digital cut files • Work within our project management software, MONDAY, to manage all print projects • Collaborate with engineering and digital print production departments on the design and building of prototypes and sign-offs • Create design alternatives for samples, point of purchase displays, packaging, promotional items and product illustrations, that meet or exceed customer expectations • Other duties as assigned Qualifications: • Associate's degree is required along with a minimum of 5 years related experience in print production and graphic design • Must be an organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with the ability to multi-task and follow instructions. Including but not limited to needs assessments, quality standards and customer satisfaction • Must have working knowledge and understanding of color theory, imposition and printing • Must be able to troubleshoot problems and recommend solutions. Pay: From $20.08 per hour
