Graphic Designer

Descon is an established company that designs, develops, manufacturers, and sells a variety of artwork signage and graphic solutions for use in school environments. This designer should have a desire to work on large format scale graphics, signage, displays, etc. • Competency o Associate Degree (Bachelor Degree preferred) in Graphic Design or equivalent experience o Experienced in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) on Windows platform, MS Office programs o Comfortable working with largeformat graphics and large files while building art files using layers/styles o Ability to use artistic styles appropriate for children and family audience o Strong understanding of typography and readability, use of color o Competence in graphic design techniques and art production o Prior experience with creating marketing concepts and/or motion graphics is a plus o Must be detail oriented with an emphasis on error avoidance • Character o High level of professionalism with customer interactions and internal communications. o Selfmotivated with ability to take direction and work productively with minimal assistance o Comfortable with following a process and with receiving constructive feedback/critique on design elements o Ability to work in a team environment within a shared office, preferably with a clean/organized work space o Flexible demeanor that has a desire to learn our process, improve their abilities, and develop a positive/passionate attitude for products and company.
