Graphic Designer

If you love seeing the results of your hard work and are looking to further your graphic design career with a great company, this is the position for you.We're looking for a talented graphic designer who can take concepts and ideas and create visual representations, in both print and digital media. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of branding and marketing, and be able to find the right style and layout for every project.This person will report to the VP of Marketing, and will work closely with the Marketing Manager in executing the department’s marketing plan and fulfilling marketing needs. Ensure scope changes are processed and incorporated into the current scope of work in a timely manner.Communicate all project issues to the appropriate level of management in a timely manner.Coordinate with outside agencies, art services, web designer, marketing, printers, and colleagues as necessary.Obtain input from managers to ensure that designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the company appropriately.Work independently as well as cooperatively with the marketing team to meet deadlines.Examine existing processes, identify flaws, and create solutions that improve design capabilities.Update and maintain internal databases for designs, photography, and video.Able to give and receive constructive criticism.Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design.Perform related duties and fulfill responsibilities as required.COMPETENCIES Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field.Two or more years of experience in professional graphic design, preferably with a creative or marketing agency.Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web.Strong communication skills.Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects.Demonstrated ability to maintain high-level and consistent work ethic in all work-related duties.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
