The Graphic Designer will support a wide range of initiatives and campaigns, including digital, social, and print media, while also helping to expand and educate the creative needs for the organization’s brand identity and visual standards. Your Training & Talent • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design • Minimum 3 - 5 years of full-time experience in a graphic design role for an entertainment brand, creative agency, or sports team/league • Must present a portfolio of works that represents a diverse, creative skill set, including: • Layout design • Typography • Identity/logo design • Strong Photo use and understanding of composition and color • Motion Graphics • Strong sense of design; thorough understanding of design theory, including color, typography, and composition principles • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and other graphic design technologies • Experience in After Effects for creating motion graphics, type animations, and digital-first experience features • Must possess strong attention to detail • Strong ability to multi-task; utilize discretion to decide which projects are most important • Ability to effectively lead a high volume of projects while managing additional responsibilities as business needs grow or evolve, leveraging strong organizational and time management skills to ensure successful outcomes on time • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills that maintain positive, effective relationships and collaboration across all departments • Willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights and weekends) to assist in game night coverage or in support of Company events as needed • Passion for sports, specifically hockey • Demonstrates New York Islanders’ core values of integrity, curiosity, empathy, collaboration, and originality What’s in it for You • Expanding your experience with an iconic NHL® franchise in our quest for a 5th Stanley Cup • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance • 401(k) retirement plan with company match • Paid time off and holidays • Professional development opportunities
