Graphic Designer

Expectation of Employee • Act in an honest, mature, and professional manner at all times; • Treat our visitors and co-workers with respect and courtesy; • Avoid any situation that may create or appear to create a conflict between our personal interests and the interests of The Magic House; • Safeguard the property of The Magic House through care and respect and avoid waste and abuse; • Report to work on time and with a can-do attitude; • Keep timely and accurate financial, attendance, and program records; Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Develop and create visual concepts, layouts, and designs for a wide range of mediums, including digital platforms, print materials, social media, presentations, etc. Qualifications • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field; or three years of equivalent experience • One to three years of experience as a Graphic Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work; • Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, etc. ); • MacOS proficiency required • HTML/CSS knowledge (a plus but not required); • Strong conceptual and creative thinking; • Excellent communication and teamwork skills; • Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines; • Knowledge of current design trends and best practices; • Experience in both print and digital design; The physical demands described for this position are those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
