Graphic Designer

Spectrum Sign Systems is looking to hire a graphic designer with 3+ years of experience. We help businesses, property managers, developers, hospitals and universities increase visibility and brand recognition with custom signs. Our process includes creative sign design, custom sign fabrication, sign installation and sign renovation.

We are looking for a graphic designer to create technically sound and visually appealing graphics for a variety of industries and sign types.

What is the role of a graphic designer?

The graphic designer position includes the process of visualizing and creating graphics, including customer proofs for interior and exterior sign packages. You’ll be the one to shape the visual aspects of customer presentations and marketing materials.

Your graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. For this, you need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design. If you can communicate well and work well as part of a team, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities

Study design briefs and determine requirementsWork with team members to define budget and size constraintsConceptualize visuals based on requirementsDevelop scaled renderings and other designs using softwareUse the appropriate materials, colors and layouts for each sign typeCollaborate with team members to produce final designAmend designs after feedbackEnsure final graphics and layouts are scaled correctly, visually appealing and on-brand

Requirements

Proven graphic designing experienceA strong portfolio of digital renderings or other graphicsFamiliarity with design software and technologies (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)Cadtools 11 experience is a plusTechnical and mechanical aptitude is a plusA keen eye for aesthetics and detailsExcellent communication skillsAbility to work effectively and meet deadlinesDegree in Design or related fieldSign industry experience is a plus but not necessaryUse of emerging AI tools and how to use them responsibly to work more effectively, explore concepts, and solve problems
