Renaissance Publishing , a locally owned magazine publishing company, is looking for a talented, self-motivated Graphic Designer to join our team for a remote, part-time to full time position – starting in the Fall 2026 you would be part time and then transitioning to full-time in the Spring 2027 . Renaissance Publishing publishes seven regular-frequency magazines, along with a variety of custom publishing projects created on client schedules. As a Production Designer, you’ll work remotely alongside designers, art directors, sales representatives, the marketing team and web editors to provide technical design support, creative input and help improve our production processes. Our workflow is cloud-based, so strong communication, organization and the ability to work independently are essential. During the program, you’ll work on print advertisements for our publications, as well as digital advertisements for our websites. Once print publication deadlines are complete, you’ll also help process and upload magazine content to our websites, ensuring our publications are accessible both in print and online. You’ll also collaborate with our marketing team and web editors to create creative assets for contests, events and promotions. Past projects have included web and print advertisements, social media assets, custom-printed brochures, newsletters, motion graphics and other creative materials designed to work across a variety of digital and print platforms. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple projects and shifting priorities, consistently meet deadlines and take initiative. Attention to detail and the ability to adapt to different types of projects and creative needs are important to success in this role. Typical Day-to-Day Tasks · Receive and process as-is creative files for print and digital use · Use provided materials, photography and stock images to create print and digital advertisements that meet client specifications · Work with Art Directors and the Production Manager to make updates and revisions to completed print files · Respond to quick-turn questions, specification checks and technical requests from internal teams · Set up newsletter templates and place advertising banners within ActiveCampaign · Upload, organize and manage digital advertising assets within our Broadstreet Ad Manager platform · Process and upload magazine content to our WordPress websites following print publication deadlines · Create digital and print collateral for marketing campaigns, contests, events and promotions · Assist with other design and production projects as needed Technical Skills · Fluent in Adobe Creative Cloud, with an emphasis on InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator · Comfortable working with Dropbox and remote/cloud-based file systems · Familiar and comfortable with Google Drive and Google Sheets · Experience with the WordPress back end is appreciated but not required · Familiarity with Issuu is a plus · Familiarity with Active Campaign, RASA or other email/newsletter platforms is a plus · Experience with digital advertising or ad management platforms is a plus; Broadstreet experience is especially helpful · Understanding of print production processes and terminology, including crop marks, bleed and CMYK vs. RGB, is a plus Program Details · Fall 2026: Part-time, approximately 20 hours/week , October–December · Spring 2027: Full-time, approximately 40 hours/week , January–April · Compensation is by the hour and paid via a time sheet.
