Graphic Designer

About the job

We're looking for a graphic designer to join our creative team. Someone who's really good at design, likes solving problems, and doesn't mind when a client asks for the logo to be bigger. (We'll fight that battle together.)

You'll work on all kinds of projects for all kinds of clients. One day it's a brand identity, the next it's a billboard, and by Friday you're resizing a social graphic for the fourth time. If that sounds fun and not exhausting, keep reading.

This is a paid position.

What you'll do

Design for pretty much everything: branding, campaigns, social, websites, print, and whatever else comes through the door
Make sure everything looks like it belongs to the same brand, even when it's going out across six different channels
Create logos, icons, and layouts with type that people will want to read
Build print-ready files that won't make our printer call us. This means correct color, correct bleeds, and the whole prepress routine.
Work with our marketing team on concepts.
Help out with motion graphics and video when a project needs some movement
Update websites in WordPress and get your work living online where it should be
Shoot or edit photos when a project needs it

What you need to bring

Real skill in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign at a minimum)
A portfolio
Print production experience is a plus.
Strong typography and layout instincts
The ability to explain your ideas to clients without using the word "synergy"

Bonus points (not required, but we'll be impressed)

After Effects or other video editing experience
Figma or Sketch
Some HTML/CSS know-how and an eye for UI/UX
Photography

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
