Graphic Designer

Signarama Fresno is looking for a creative, detail-oriented Graphic Designer with at least 1 year of previous experience working at a sign company to join our team.

We are seeking someone who can handle graphic design projects, prepare accurate layouts and production-ready files for various types of signage, and assist with daily print and production operations.

The ideal candidate should have strong graphic design skills, hands-on experience in the signage industry, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Graphic Design & Signage

Create professional designs and layouts for signs, banners, vehicle graphics, window graphics, wall graphics, and other signage products.
Prepare detailed sign drawings, including dimensions, materials, specifications, installation details, and other necessary information.
Create customer proofs, mockups, and production-ready artwork.
Ensure all artwork is properly sized, scaled, and formatted for production.
Review customer-supplied artwork and make necessary adjustments.
Use AI-powered design tools when appropriate to assist with creative concepts, artwork, and other design tasks.
Make revisions based on customer feedback and project requirements.

Printing & Equipment Maintenance

Operate and maintain large-format printers, vinyl plotters/cutters, and related equipment.
Prepare files for printing and cutting.
Perform routine printer and plotter maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting.
Contact equipment manufacturers or technical support when needed to resolve issues.
Monitor print quality, color accuracy, and material usage.

Production Support

Assist with various aspects of sign production as needed, including vinyl weeding, masking, laminating, trimming, and preparing materials.
Work closely with the production and installation teams to ensure accurate execution of designs.
Help maintain an organized and efficient production workspace.

Qualifications & Skills

Minimum 1 year of professional experience working at a sign company (required).
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Experience with CorelDRAW or other signage design software is a plus.
Strong understanding of signage materials, fabrication methods, and large-format printing.
Ability to create accurate, detailed, and properly scaled sign layouts and drawings.
Knowledge of file preparation for printing, cutting, and fabrication.
Familiarity with AI design tools and willingness to learn new technologies.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
Willingness to assist with hands-on production work when needed.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is not only creative but also practical and detail-oriented. This position goes beyond graphic design and involves understanding how signs are manufactured, preparing accurate artwork and drawings, maintaining equipment, and helping the production team when needed.

Previous sign company experience is mandatory. Applicants must have at least 1 year of relevant experience in the signage industry to be considered.

The right candidate will be dependable, organized, willing to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced sign shop environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
