Graphic Designer and Production Artist

Immediate Full Time Position, 40 hours per week Job Summary: The Graphic Designer is responsible for performing a variety of functions in compliance with work order specifications and company quality standards to ensure overall customer satisfaction and service. Responsibilities: • Create eye-catching graphics and engaging designs • Handle graphic and typesetting projects from start to finish according to work order • Assist inside and outside sales staff in promoting services to clients • Comply with all OSHA safety requirements • Produce and Prioritize work to meet production deadlines • Participate as a key player in the Production Team • Communicate effectively with Owner, Production Manager and Graphics Supervisor • Follow systems, processes and procedures as outline in the company manual • Operate equipment (PC and MAC), scanner, digital printers, cameras and RIPS, as needed • Receive and manipulate files as needed • Provide CSRs and clients with proofs and see that proof deadlines are met Qualifications: • Minimum of 2 years education in graphic design • Minimum of 2 years of practical and print production experience • Comprehensive understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop) • Understanding and able to be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel) • Possess graphic design portfolio • Deadline and detail-oriented • Create and understand sending files to digital equipment, wide format equipment, various rips. Pay: From $19.50 per hour
