Graphic Designer and Social Media Manager

Job Overview

As a graphic designer you will help sports teams and businesses get a look they love. Your expertise in graphic design, combined with an understanding of sports culture and trends, will allow you to create unique and visually appealing uniform concepts that reflect the team’s brand and resonate with fans. From creating striking logos to designing cohesive color schemes and patterns you will collaborate closely with coaches and team moms to bring their vision to life.

As Social Media Manager you will play a role in developing and executing social media strategies to promote our brand and engage with our target audience. Your focus will be to showcase our unique designs, drive engagement, and generate sales leads. Tasks include social media creation, community management and creating social media campaigns.

This role is subject to flexible hours, for 2 to 3 days a week. The shop is open Monday through Friday 9 am to 5 pm, so working hours would be during that time.

Responsibilities

Create designs that the customer loves in a timely manner
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Produce designs, proofs, and update materials for customer projects
Design marketing promotions and content for social media and website
Post regular content to social media outlets
Able to maintain documentation and track progress in product management software
Develop as a team player and understand the production process
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Must have experience with CorelDRAW and/or Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, INDesign)
Experience working with sports teams, athletic organizations or apparel companies is highly desirable
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment
Understand social media marketing strategies including content creation, branding, SEO (Search Engine Optimization), keyword research, and digital marketing principles
Must exhibit exceptional attention to detail in design work
Must be an energetic self-starter who is driven to succeed
Strong communication skills: excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with clients, understand their requirements and articulate design concepts and rationales. Ability to provide constructive feedback and receive critiques.
Proficient in computer and internet skills across multiple platforms (Gmail, Dropbox, Clickup)
Openness to feedback, flexibility, and a willingness to adapt to changing product needs

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
