Cade Advertising, with offices now in Florida and Michigan, is an award-winning, full-service advertising agency with over 29 years of experience working with a wide variety of local, regional, and national clients.

We are currently seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) Graphics Designer and Visual Media Artist to join our team.

The Graphic Designer-VMA produces cutting edge online and traditional creative advertisements for assigned advertising projects based on provided creative briefs. (This job function requires some familiarity with rich media and online bandwidth considerations.)

The Graphic Designer-VMA creates and assists in developing and managing projects for the agency and its clients under the direction of the agency’s Creative Director. This person should be skilled at conceiving and designing traditional and digital projects that are visually inviting, functional, dynamic, effective, and capable of maintaining the applicable brand image and achieving the strategic goals/objectives set forth by the Agency and/or individual Client.

This person also works with designated Account Managers, Web Developers, and Content Developers within the agency to produce, maintain and update content and designs for agency produced and maintained websites.

The Graphic Designer-VMA is capable of handling multiple projects and has strong interpersonal skills. This person has a well-developed design sensibility and an eye for detail and is skilled at verbal and written communication with the ability to write minimal copy. The Graphic Designer must be a self-starter and have the ability to think outside of the box.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Maintaining knowledge of all services offered by CADE Advertising and performing other duties as needed or assigned.
Participation in daily and weekly agency meetings.
Collaborate on multiple projects, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain a high standard of work.
Consult with our marketing team to create cohesive designs that reflect the culture and goals of various brands.
The ability to create “client-ready” storyboards.
Create visual aspects of marketing and corporate materials for all forms of marketing, including but not limited to websites, social media, magazines/newspapers, billboards, brochures, and product illustrations.
Works with assigned web developers and copywriters/content developers to concept and design websites and other interactive properties that will meet client strategic planning objectives.
When requested, writes copy or helps develop content for web/interactive or traditional projects.
With the copywriter and web developer, prepares web/interactive design projects for presentation/demo to the Agency Ownership/Creative Director and, if approved, to account service personnel and clients.
Provides regular progress reports for ongoing design projects.
Assists with updating and maintenance of internet properties.
Concepts, designs, and assists in launching a variety of online and traditional advertising formats (banner and display ads, buttons, print, outdoor, etc.).
Periodically reviews websites and other interactive properties and recommends updates of content and design.
Stays current with regard to web design trends, tools, and practices.
Requests additional training, tools, software, and hardware upgrades to ensure a high level of skills and knowledge.
Maintain accurate records of time logged by client and project.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

The Graphic Designer-VMA should have extensive knowledge of and experience in typographic identity, web, information, and interactive design. The VMA-Graphic Designer must have experience with programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro and After Effects. Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, ASP, SQL Server, CGI, and XML development is desirable but not essential. This person should also have experience with and/or knowledge of web server hardware, site architecture, user interface requirements, web navigation, web page layout, cross-platform issues, browser and platform compatibility and capability, animation, image compression, size, and speed issues. Knowledge of firewalls and other network/server security issues, as well as web-based electronic software, are required. A degree in communications design or a related field is desirable.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, and professional journals.

SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE

The following programs will be used in daily functions of this position and are as follows: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress.

SALARY

Wil be dependent on experience.

LICENSES

Must have a valid Driver's License and a clean DMV Report.
