Graphic Designer (Austin, Texas)

PART-TIME FREELANCE GRAPHIC DESIGNER

We are seeking a talented and reliable Part-Time Freelance Graphic Designer to provide ongoing support for our client's marketing, business development, and social media efforts.

This role will support our client with brand identity, website design, marketing collateral, and updating social media templates.

This role will focus on creating and updating content within our existing brand standards, working collaboratively with our designers and leadership team.

The position averages approximately 15 hours per week, with some variation based on proposal deadlines and other marketing needs. This role is based in Austin, Texas and will be hybrid, you will need to be comfortable going onsite to the office near the Palmer Events Center (as needed depending on workload that week).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES MARKETING & GRAPHIC DESIGN

-Update and customize existing marketing collateral, including brochures, project sheets, resumes, presentations, proposals, and qualifications packages.

-Adapt existing templates for specific clients, projects, markets, and business development opportunities.

-Create graphics and layouts for digital and print communications within established brand standards.

-Maintain organized and up-to-date marketing assets, photography, templates, and files.

SOCIAL MEDIA & CONTENT

-Work with designers and leadership to identify projects, stories, awards, events, and industry insights for social media.

-Create, edit, schedule, and post content on a regular basis using established templates and brand standards.

-Maintain a social media content calendar and consistent posting schedule.

-Create or edit simple video, reel, and multimedia content as needed.

WEBSITE & DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS

-Update website content, imagery, projects, team information, news, and awards as needed.

-Assist with email campaigns, newsletters, announcements, and other digital communications.

COLLABORATION

-Work closely with designers and leadership to gather content and translate ideas into effective visual communications.

-Manage multiple assignments and deadlines, including time-sensitive proposal and business development needs.

-Proofread materials for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand standards.

-Coordinate with photographers, printers, and other creative vendors when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

-Strong graphic design portfolio with excellent typography, layout, and visual communication skills.

-Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

-Proficiency in Canva, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Word.

-Experience with WordPress or similar content management platforms.

-Experience creating and posting content for social media.

-Familiarity with email marketing platforms is preferred.

Basic video editing or motion graphics capabilities are a plus.

-Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.

-Ability to work independently, take direction, incorporate feedback, and meet deadlines.

-Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.

-Experience with architecture, interior design, senior living, real estate, hospitality, or a related design-oriented industry is a plus.

ENGAGEMENT

-This is a part-time freelance/contract position averaging approximately 15 hours per week.

-Hours may fluctuate based on proposal deadlines, marketing initiatives, and other studio needs.

-Our client is looking for someone interested in an ongoing relationship who can become a reliable extension of their design and leadership teams.

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
