Graphic Designer & Customer Service Specialist

We are seeking a talented, dependable, and customer-focused Graphic Designer & Customer Service Specialist to join our team. This is a hands-on position that combines graphic design and print production knowledge with front-counter customer service and day-to-day order management.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly with customers, has strong graphic design skills, understands how to prepare artwork for professional printing, and can confidently manage a project from the initial customer request through invoicing and completion.

Primary Responsibilities

Graphic Design & Prepress

Review customer-supplied artwork to ensure files are print-ready and meet production requirements.
Make necessary adjustments, corrections, or modifications to supplied artwork.
Create original designs based on customer ideas, concepts, branding, or specifications.
Prepare and properly format artwork for a variety of printed products.
Identify potential issues with resolution, sizing, fonts, colors, bleeds, margins, and other print specifications before production.
Communicate with customers when artwork changes or additional information is needed.

Customer Service & Order Management

Serve as one of the primary faces of our company, greeting and assisting customers at the front counter.
Help customers determine the best products and printing options for their needs.
Create and fulfill customer quotes and work orders.
Enter and process invoices accurately.
Communicate with customers throughout the production process when necessary.
Contact customers when orders are completed and ready for pickup.
Provide friendly, professional, and knowledgeable customer service in person, by phone, and through email.
Maintain organized customer and job information.
Perform minimal filing and general administrative duties as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat
Ability to create professional designs from a customer’s idea or concept.
Strong understanding of graphic design principles and preparing artwork for print.
Ability to recognize and correct common artwork and file-preparation issues.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and general computer applications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple jobs, customers, deadlines, and priorities at the same time.
Comfortable working directly with customers and providing excellent customer service.
Dependable, professional, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who is more than just a graphic designer. This person will play an important role in the customer’s entire experience with our company, from helping bring their idea to life, to preparing their artwork for production, to managing their order and letting them know when it’s ready.

We need someone who is creative, organized, personable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced print shop environment.

Previous experience in the printing, signage, promotional products, or graphic design industry is a major plus.
