The Print Graphic Designer will enhance the visual identity of our Owned Brands portfolio. This role is essential in crafting innovative, trend-forward prints, patterns, graphics, and surface designs for marketing.
The position will play a key role in our commitment to transforming our offerings towards more innovative, exclusive, and design-led products, ensuring our private-label items not only resonate with consumers but also exceed market expectations through superior aesthetics and quick, efficient creative execution.
Key Responsibilities
• Graphic & Print Design Creation
• Craft original prints, patterns, icons, illustrations, and graphic assets across various categories (hardlines, softlines, seasonal, and promotional).
• Convert trends, cultural insights, and brand directions into captivating artworks that resonate with our brand identity.
• Adapt graphics for diverse brand aesthetics and target demographics within the Owned Brands portfolio.
• Trend & Inspiration Development
• Analyze market trends, color palettes, cultural influences, and design activities from competitors.
• Create inspiration boards, seasonal print narratives, and category-specific graphic directions to steer product development.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Collaborate closely with Product Designers to realize graphic concepts across various product forms, materials, and packaging.
• Engage with Product Innovation teams to ensure prompt delivery of artwork, tech packs, specifications, and updates.
• Align graphic assets with merchandising objectives, product positioning, and overall brand strategy.
• Technical Excellence & Production Readiness
• Prepare final artwork files, seamless patterns, color separations, and specifications for suppliers.
• Ensure graphics comply with manufacturing standards (print methods, fabrications, substrates, scale, color accuracy).
• Review samples (both digital and physical) for quality assurance, fidelity, and brand integrity.
• Speed, Agility & Operational Discipline
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment while managing shifting priorities.
• Deliver artwork packages, revisions, and approvals promptly without compromising on creativity or accuracy.
• Identify and implement workflow enhancements to expedite the design-to-sample process.
Experience & Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in graphic or print design
• Strong grasp of fashion and textile design history, alongside current applications of iconic prints.
• 3-6 years of print/graphic design experience, preferably within retail, consumer products, apparel, hardlines, or lifestyle brands; experience with pet products is a plus.
• Ability to blend creative, trend-focused ideas with commercial retail objectives.
• Portfolio showcasing original prints, patterns, illustrations, and consistent brand artwork.
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and familiarity with color theory and print production.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes for softlines and/or hardlines (screen print, sublimation, woven labels, embossing, UV print, etc.).
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at managing several fast-moving projects.
• Strong awareness of trends, culture, and consumer behavior, with the ability to adjust styles across various brands.
• Capability to create cohesive product assortments, color palettes, pattern collections, and line structures.
