Graphic Designer for Social Media - Part Time

In this ongoing part-time (20 hours per week) role, you'll collaborate with lead designers and stakeholders to create compelling visuals and messaging for our social channels supporting a client who is a leader in telecommunications hardware technology. Envision engaging ways to display data, re-imagine complex technical content to reduce visual clutter, and improve communication of key concepts that drive customers and prospects to learn more about the client • Ensure that all materials are reviewed by stakeholders as required, according to Marketing department procedures and are appropriate for the client's Social Media • Clearly communicate with team members to prioritize work (competing priorities, last minute requests) and discuss issues, questions, status of work with key stakeholders. This is especially important in a part-time role where others may need to start or finish project due to deadline requirements • There is the potential for the person in this role to be involved in social post scheduling, support of Regional social efforts, and social content creation - however, the primary focus is the design of social media content How to be a top candidate for this job: • 1-3 years of experience in a dedicated design role or full-time freelance work that includes corporate social media design work • A web-based portfolio showing adaptable design skills across a range of social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube). High-tech samples a plus • The team member must demonstrate initiative to produce the highest-quality, brand-appropriate designs, proactive ownership of deliverables, and a genuine desire to contribute to the positive success of the team • This work will interface a larger organization, so a consistent 20 hour per week schedule would need to be agreed upon during business hours (we are flexible as to which business hours as long as it's consistent). This long- term business-day part-time role is not a fit for someone with existing full- time commitments or who is seeking a full-time position.
