Position: Graphic Designer (Half-Time) at TABS (The Association of Boarding Schools) OverviewThe Association of Boarding Schools (TABS) is a member association of over 200 boarding schools throughout North America and worldwide. Our mission is to counsel, connect, and champion boarding schools. We deliver professional learning, timely data, actionable insights, and opportunities for community and belonging within and throughout our membership. We connect our schools with families eager to learn about the transformational value of a boarding school education.Your ImpactThe Graphic Designer is a half-time position, working on average 20 hours per week, and supports the development and execution of high-quality visual assets that strengthen the visibility, engagement, and brand identity of TABS. This position will take a collaborative and detail-driven approach to design development, content execution, and brand stewardship, working closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications to produce creative assets on time, with accuracy, and in support of organizational goals.What You’ll Succeed in This RoleDesign & Creative Execution: Create visually compelling digital and print assets that support email campaigns, website content, social media, presentations, and eventsDevelop branded graphics that support membership outreach, strategic programs, research releases, and organizational initiativesEnsure design accuracy, quality, and consistency with TABS’ brand standards and visual identityFormat and layout content for publications, reports, brochures, promotional materials, and digital collateralMaintain and evolve visual templates, style elements, and design systemsContent, Publication, and Event SupportPartner closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications to transform messaging and strategy into visual deliverablesAssist in preparing visual assets for presentations, webinars, and speaking engagementsCreate visual assets and collaterals for conferences, gatherings, and professional development events, including signage, programs, slide decks, and promotional materialsSupport event branding needs and executionProject Coordination and WorkflowManage timelines, priorities, and deliverables for assigned projects to ensure timely completion in alignment with broader marketing schedulesMaintain organized files, templates, and production librariesWork within shared project management platforms (e.g. ) to track progress and ensure cross-team visibilityCollaborate proactively with internal teams to identify design needs and gather necessary inputAdministrative Support & Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with internal departments, external partners, and vendors where needed to execute design work that supports organizational prioritiesProvide guidance on visual standards and best practices to ensure consistent application across stakeholdersProvide occasional, basic operational coverage for the Director of Marketing and Communications when they are outMonitor design-related needs during absences to ensure continuity of communicationPerform other duties, as assignedRequirementsWhat you bring to the role2+ years’ experience in professional graphic designProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Canva, and other relevant design toolsExperience designing for email marketing platforms (e.g. Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Hub Spot, or equivalent)Basic website editing experience (Word Press or similar)Strong attention to detail, visual accuracy, and design qualityAbility to thrive in a flexible, remote environment while meeting deadlinesStrong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environmentBelief in the transformational power of…
