United, we are tackling complex issues and turning contributions into real change. and the ability to produce print projects with pre-press knowledgeAbility to perform manipulation and retouching of the images using Photoshop.Excellent artistic ability and presentation ideas.Ability to suggest and make creative alterations to projects in order to elevate the brand while maintaining brand standardsCoordinate with the design team to generate new and innovative design ideasDesign distinctive graphics such as infographics and illustrations to better show information in a quick and easy-to-understand wayIn conjunction with the Senior Director, Marketing Specialty Services, provides creative feedback, advanced-level knowledge, and freelancers as neededIn collaboration with the Senior Director, Marketing Specialty Services, participates in project planning meetings to discuss and better understand the concepts and design approach needed.Collaborate with Marketing and Communications staff to develop compelling and highly-targeted marketing campaigns.Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.Continually seek additional opportunities for professional development to stay on top of advancements in design and development in a marketing capacity.Willingness to accept feedback and make necessary changes in part of the design.When appropriate, volunteer your time for various after-hours and weekend activities that benefit United Way and the community.Due to the leadership role United Way is called upon to play in the community, particularly during times of crisis, it is the expectation that all United Way staff will be fully engaged in the organization’s crisis plan and response efforts.RequirementsEducation Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent experience.Experience Requirements: 5+ years of experience as a Graphic Designer.Technology Requirements: Must have knowledge of modern technology and be able to adapt quickly to new software, browsers, and systems.Other Essential Knowledge/Skills: Excellent computer skills. Exceptional creativity and innovation. Accuracy and attention to detail a must.
