The Graphic Designer I designs and produces College printed publications and promotional items for the Finance and Administrative Services division. 1.Produces Desktop publishing for assigned projects.2.Provides layout and design for various print publications, including but not limited to brochures, fliers, posters, postcards, and reports.3.Creates artwork, images, text, and graphic design for publications and reports.4.Works as part of a team to ensure assigned projects are accurate and timely.5.Prepares routine correspondence, forms, reports, and other materials using standard electronic and computer-based equipment.6.Interacts and provides customer service (via email and telephone) with students, staff, and the public in a positive manner and answers questions regarding department matters.7.Documents and maintains ongoing status reports of projects.8.Meets critical deadlines.9.Presents and proposes design solutions to supervisor and all division departments.10.Produces photography and video content according to project specifications.11.Uses technology and software to create images and layout of websites and printed pages.12.Creates videos and video content for websites and presentations.13.Prepares worksheets, graphs, dashboards, flowcharts, and PowerPoint presentations.14.Uses various software applications, such as spreadsheets and presentations, to assemble and/or format data and/or reports.15.Monitors and updates websites for the Finance and Administrative Services division, as needed.16.Coordinates projects with departments in the division.17.Collaborates with other departments, such as Public Relations and Marketing, for college-level projects.18.Performs other duties as assigned.Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 1.Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.2.Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, the Windows environment, and internet research skills.3.Familiarity with video software.4.Desktop publishing knowledge with strong graphic design and page layout skills.5.Proficient in the use of graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.6.Ability to prioritize, organize, and complete multiple tasks with attention to detail, within stated deadlines.7.Ability to work independently as well as a team player within department and with others.8.Ability to adapt to constant change and periods of fast-paced, high-intensity work situations.9.Ability to work evenings as needed.10.Demonstrated commitment to achieving the vision and mission. 11.Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization.12.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.13.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Education and/or Experience: 1.Associate's Degree in Graphic Design, Art, or related field, required.2.At least 1 year of relevant work experience, preferred.
