A typical day/week consists of working closely with your Uniform Design teammates to ensure we’re creating the future of sport across the NBA. This can range from brainstorm sessions on creative strategies to meetings designed to review uniform designs are achieving the desired goal.WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?You will work closely with the Design Director, Product Leadership, and External NBA Partners to help Nike create the future of narrative driven uniform design across the NBA. You will be reporting directly to the NBA Uniforms Design Director and will be working closely with cross functional partners internally as well as key collaborators externally across the NBA.WHAT YOU WILL BRING?TO BE CONSIDERED, YOU MUST SUBMIT A CREATIVE DESIGN PORTFOLIO. PLEASE PROVIDE WEBSITE LINKS OR ATTACH PDF FILES WHEN YOU APPLY.Bachelors Degree in Design, Art or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience and training.1-4+ years of graphic design experience in an agency, in-house setting, or closely related role in product creation.Well-curated portfolio showcasing a variety of projects that demonstrate a strong, effective methodology for research, inspiration, design development, problem solving, process, and final execution.High Degree of proficiency in Adobe Illustrator is a must, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop is a plusCompetency in 3D design tools is a plus, but desire to learn and apply is a mustAn understanding of Typography, Color Theory, Brand Identity, and Design PrinciplesPassion and understanding of current and emerging design trends, as well as visual culture.A positive attitude while working on projects with challenging briefs and through ambiguity to successful completion.Ability to translate insights into authentic narratives and visual storytelling.Ability to adapt to change and balance multiple, contending priorities.Knowledge of apparel product creation and basic knowledge of garment construction is a plusAbility to embrace diverse points of view while encouraging an environment of inclusivity.Demonstrates self-awareness, with ability to articulate their strengths, opportunities, and takeawaysWell informed and stays connected to sport, cultural and graphic design trendsWe offer a number of accommodations to complete our interview process including screen readers, sign language interpreters, accessible and single location for in-person interviews, closed captioning, and other reasonable modifications as needed.
