As a graphic designer, you will be an active and important participant in the design process, from concept to creation, to support the needs of the Marketing team. If you are a self-starter, this is a rare opportunity to join a growing in-house agency in a successful company intent on building an industry-leading marketing program.Primary ResponsibilitiesActively participate in group brainstorming/concept development sessions with the Creative Director, Art Director, and/or key stakeholdersInterpret needs and create innovative designs to effectively convey desired ideasTake ownership of all areas of the design process from initial prototype to creation to the preparation of final mechanicalsCreate eye-catching brochures, presentations, and other marketing collateral that preserves and elevates the brandWork closely with the Creative Director, Art Director, and stakeholders, taking direction and implementing changes to improve design and consistently adhere to brand standardsManage and document the approval process needed for each type of projectCollaborate across the creative team and help with other projects, as neededPrioritize projects and handle multiple tasks efficientlyProvide input to continually improve the creative processAssist in the QA processMaintain a positive attitude and share a passion for growing the Walker & Dunlop brand with other career-minded individuals across the companyCommunicate and problem-solve daily with teammates, clients, vendors, and other stakeholdersLearn and expand creative skills to build a career in graphic designPerform other duties as assignedEducation And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related discipline2 plus years of experience as a Graphic DesignerB2B design experience preferredKnowledge, Skills And AbilitiesHigh level of proficiency with industry standard Adobe CC applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) and Microsoft Office SuiteExperience creating multimedia presentationsThorough understanding of marketing strategy and ability to execute strategy with design solutionsExperience working with clients to identify needs and present solutionsStrong data visualization design skillsExceptional typography skillsAbility to take direction, work quickly and efficiently to meet deadlines, and communicate clearly and effectively with collaborators across all levels of the organizationMeticulous attention to detail and accuracySelf-motivated, with the ability to multi-task, work independently and learn technical information quicklyFlexible problem-solver able to adapt to changing circumstances and needsStrong project management skills, organizational skills, and time management skillsExcellent teamwork to engage productively with other design professionalsThe ability and desire to keep up to date with commercial design trends to stay on the leading edge of creativityAbility to show ownership of your work, take on challenges and acknowledge growth opportunities, and demonstrate patience when learning new processesAbility to show ownership of your work, take on challenges and acknowledge growth opportunities, and demonstrate patience when learning new processesCourtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness in teaming with colleagues and other stakeholdersThis position has an estimated base salary of $65,000 - $75,000 plus discretionary bonus.
