Job Requirements Sendik's Food Markets, a family-owned business nearing its 100th anniversary, is looking for passionate people to join our team! This person is skilled at interpreting a creative brief, either verbal or written, and creating on-brand designs for a variety of uses. An advanced understanding of print, digital and branding is also required. We will be quick to respond to our customers and use "Red Truck Service" when additional assistance is needed.Work Experience Duties and Responsibilities:Graphic design for new and existing projects, ensuring a cohesive look and feel, following Sendik's brand standardsPrepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materialsPlans concept by studying information and materialsIllustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic conceptsObtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approvalPrepares finished copy and art by operating typesetting, printing, and similar equipmentPrepares final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and artCollaborate with other designers and marketing to create an engaging customer experienceDeveloping communication designs for new programs and platformsDevelopment of print collateralExecution of weekly on-line/web graphicsQualifications:Minimum BFA in Graphic DesignMinimum 3 years' professional design experienceStrong portfolioExperience working with, creating and translating brand style guidesExcellent communicator who takes direction well and is willing to learn and teachThe ability to sell, present and talk through your design thinkingComprehensive knowledge of Adobe CS (Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, Adobe Acrobat)Experience working closely with a Production Team, with strong understanding of printing process (previous on-press experience a must)Solid design background with basic understanding of typography, color theory +interface design/layoutBasic understanding of social media and the latest trends associated with the technologyPrevious experience in the CPG space (food and beverage a plus)
