Role OverviewWe're seeking a Graphic Designers to work with the Creative Director to produce creative assets for packaging, pamphlets or handouts, or web design. You would be responsible for communicating with and supplying design files to printers and manufacturers, and organizing digital design files on the shared North Spore drive. Key ResponsibilitiesProduce quality work and adhere to deadlinesTake part in weekly creative meetings and discussions with Creative DirectorUpdate existing assets as needed for new applicationsCreate banners for website and other sales channelsDesign and execute packaging such as labels and cartons for new and updated productsLogo development and design for new product linesCreate hand drawn and vector illustrations as needed for designsIllustrations for blog posts/articles as neededWrite copy for instructional materials such as booklets and manualsWork directly with contacts for the factories we use and ensure clear communication so designs get executed correctlyQualifications:Proficiency with Adobe SuiteAt least two years of graphic design experience for a brand or agencyAbility to follow deadlinesAbility to interface with printing companiesComfortable commuting daily to the Portland, ME, facilityWhy Join North Spore?Be at the forefront of the mycology movement and help shape an emerging categoryJoin a tight-knit, values-driven team with a passion for science, sustainability, and curiosityWork in a fast-growing, omnichannel environment with the opportunity to shape strategy from the ground up
