As a junior graphic designer, you will play a key role on a variety of fun and challenging projects ranging from print/digital advertisements, marketing collateral and fully integrated marketing programs. You will deliver top tier creative for clients of the Community Journals and for Community Journals’ own marketing programs. This position is perfect for a designer entering the field of digital and print mediums. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to develop and create design solutions that are beautiful, intuitive and functional.

What You'll Do

Process client-designed ads for print and digitalAdhere to brand specific language and guidelines to complete projects for clients, including print and web adsDesign and create in-house marketing materials and office collateral Assist with executing marketing programs for Community JournalsDevelop multimedia marketing packages (including, but not limited to, print ads, web ads, sales brochures, development signage, office collateral, banners, billboards, etc.) for clientsOccasionally create spec ads and campaigns for sales representatives to take to client meetingsCollaborate with sales reps, clients and Community Journals leadership team to determine scope of various projectsLiaise with project teams to ensure deadlines are metRequirements:

Demonstrable range in graphic design skills with a stellar portfolio to showcaseSome-2 years of experienceAbility to work with a team to transform our clients’ vision into final deliverablesMust be comfortable presenting to peers and executive level stakeholdersEstablish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standardsUnderstanding of web design processExperience in producing online display advertising and animated adsUnderstanding of print production processProficiency with Adobe CS – Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesignMotion graphics and video editing skills a plusUtilizing digital design programs such as Creatopy a plus

This is an in-office position, and we’re looking for local talent based in Greenville, SC. Please note that no relocation assistance will be provided.
