GRAPHIC DESIGNER / MARKETING ASSISTANT

Furniture of America California is looking for an entry level graphic designer who will be working full-time in the marketing team! Your responsibilities include photo retouching, catalog and flyer design, website updates, social media management, etc. Understanding of the basics of web and print design is required. Responsibilities Assist Design Lead to produce all types of media Design print media (include catalogs, magazine ads, posters, etc.) Print booklets on production printers Update website contents regularly Organize product data in spreadsheet Mail out promotional materials Post social media and blog articles Occasional customer support on phone Order, pick up, and carry supplies of 50lb minimum Occasional travel and overtime required Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in graphic design or equivalent work experience 1 - 3 years of experience as a graphic designer on a variety of media sources Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop Proficiency with Microsoft Office Basic understanding of web design including HTML and CSS Working experience in Adobe InDesign preferred Social media experience preferred Knowledge of basic photography and video editing is a plus Self- motivated and take responsibility for individual and shared tasks Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented Effective oral and written communication skills Detail- oriented Fluent in Mandarin is a plus Enjoys learning something new!
