Description Working with MASS MoCA's brand standards, the Graphic Designer, Marketing reports to the Sr Manager, Marketing to manage the creative development and production of MASS MoCA collateral, direct mail, print and digital advertising, social media graphics,, merchandise... website graphics, visitor experience information, and live-event materials supporting festivals (such as FreshGrass & Solid Sound) and other museum programs. The candidate must maintain a consistent level of quality and be a collaborative team player. Experience/Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or Visual Communication, or equivalent experience • Minimum of 3 years of in-house or agency experience (museum/nonprofit experience preferred) • Confidence to inquire about needed information including the who (audience), what (format) and when (timeline) of each design request • Expert typographic skills • Experience requesting printing quotes and managing production process from concept, through design to final production • Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite; competence with Google Office • Utilize project management system to track, organize and share information with communications and content team • Proficiency in both print (collateral, direct mail, advertising) and digital (web, digital display and social media) content development preferred • Interest in MASS MoCA's mission and experience working with artists is preferred • Be able to demonstrate graphic design skills with a strong portfolio of work In May 2024, MASS MoCA will celebrate its 25th Anniversary under its new Director, Kristy Edmunds, not only as a contemporary art museum and performing arts venue, but also as a creative campus with a regional, national and global impact.MASS MoCA is one of the world’s liveliest centers for making and enjoying today’s most evocative art.
