Graphic Designer (Onsite)

## About This Role

We're looking for a Graphic Designer who can create compelling, high-quality materials that support both internal communication and external messaging. This role is ideal for someone who is creative, collaborative, and excited to contribute to a wide variety of design projects that make an impact across the organization.

## What You'll Be Doing

You'll work across a broad spectrum of design projects. Your day-to-day will involve promoting and maintaining the Dayton Freight brand image and visual identity across all design work, understanding how to design for both internal audiences and external customers. You'll create a variety of print designs for internal departments and external customers, and design and produce the quarterly company newsletter.

Developing artwork and visual content is a key part of this position—you'll handle social media, email campaigns, recruiting advertisements, digital communication boards, internal and external websites, and company presentations. When needed, you'll also assist with photography and video projects.

Collaboration is central to the role. You'll work closely with colleagues to support company initiatives and marketing requests, and you'll support internal departments including sales, safety, employee relations, and operations with their design needs.

On the project management side, you'll manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, meet deadlines, and stay within budget. You'll manage print requests through the Print on Demand application and continuously look for opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and creative knowledge.

## What We're Looking For

You'll need a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts or related field, along with 3+ years of professional, related experience.

Proficiency in Adobe Software is essential—specifically In. Design, Illustrator, and Photoshop, with more software knowledge being a plus. Strong visual design skills with attention to detail and brand consistency are non-negotiable. You need the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to adapt designs for both print and digital platforms. A portfolio that demonstrates design ability and creative thinking is required.

You should be a team player willing to aid in other areas of the Marketing Department as needed. This position is based onsite and requires in-person work at the Dayton Freight corporate office.

## Nice to Have

Internship or professional experience in graphic design, marketing, or communications is preferred. Experience designing for social media, digital marketing, or email campaigns is valuable. Basic experience with photography or video editing, familiarity with website or digital content platforms, experience preparing files for print production, and an understanding of brand guidelines and visual identity systems would all strengthen your candidacy.
