Role Description

This is a full/Part-time on-site role for a Graphic Designer Prepress at Hart Label located in Pflugerville, TX. The Graphic Designer Prepress will be responsible for print production, print design, pre-press, help with phones, speak with customers about their art files and preflight activities on a day-to-day basis.

Qualifications

Print Production, Printing, and Print Design skillsPre-press and Preflight skillsExperience in preparing files for print productionProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and PhotoshopAttention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of color management and printing processesStrong organizational and time-management skillsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related fieldTrapping- Creating small overlaps between colors to prevent any gaps or white lines during printing, especially when dealing with two-color or multi-color printing. Image manipulation- Retouching, cropping, and optimizing images for printing. Quality control- Checking for any issues like misaligned text, low-resolution images, or incorrect fonts. File preparation- Checking file formats, resolutions, and dimensions to ensure they are suitable for printing. Color correction- Adjusting colors to match the desired output and account for potential variations in printing processes. Help answering phone calls from customers etc.Lift Cutting Dies that weigh anywhere from 10 lbs. to 45lbs. and observe to make sure everything is correct.
