GRAPHIC DESIGNER / PRODUCTION ARTIST -- “Hey SoCal” About Beacon Media / Hey SoCal: For more than 25 years, we have provided multiple Southern California cities with community news and information. In doing so, We offer a highly- effective advertising medium for our business partners to expand and grow through diverse platforms. Beacon Media / Hey SoCal uses advertising technology to engage audiences across multiple content providers and platforms to forge stronger relationships for its clients and their audience. Tasks and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: \\- Design / Print Production / Website Maintenance \\- Developing graphics including print layout, ads, flyers, social media, content, banners, etc. \\- Creating and maintaining all online graphics including web banners, resizing of product images, web page layouts, email newsletters, etc \\- Contributes to creative and marketing brand campaigns \\- Ensures that all related design aligns with brand standards \\- Develops graphics for all social media, and video content \\- Update media kit on a regular basis \\- Monitor websites on a daily basis to check for errors and revise accordingly in a timely manner Produce weekly e-newsletters Required Skills and Abilities: \\- Skilled in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign \\- Highly proficient in page layout design, familiarity with page pagination is also a major plus \\- Able to take direction and criticism on work to improve outcomes \\- Has experience in developing graphics for web and print \\- Able to work in fast-paced environment \\- Extremely well organized \\- Meets deadlines \\- Positive attitude \\- Punctual \\- Detail-oriented \\- Independent Preferred Skills and Abilities: Knowledgeable in WordPress, MailChimp, HTML, PHP, and web design This position is full-time, Monday through Friday.
