• **** Graphic Designer/Technical Communications SpecialistContract to Hire- Full TimeFairview, OR (A little North of Gresham)Hybrid after Training- (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)$60-70k Plus Discretionary BonusLedgent Technology has once again partnered with a key employer in the Fairview, OR (Close to Gresham) market for their open Graphic Designer/Technical Communications role!What are we... looking for?Looking for someone willing to learn and to be trained, curious (not afraid to ask questions), able to manage multiple projects, some past art work experience is a plus!SUMMARYThis position is responsible for developing technical documentation for products, with a focus on user manuals, service literature, operator manuals, and installation guides..ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSResearch, develop and edit content for global technical documents such as user manuals, service literature, operator manuals, and other technical guides.Determine effective layout and structure for complex manuals and other technical documentation.Create artwork for technical documents as needed.Work with technical team and cross-departmentally to ensure accurate representation of complex technical data, drawings, and specifications.Ensure appropriate technical content and terminology review and approvals.Work with technical team to streamline and improve processes, particularly when it comes to digitizing or automating workflows and documentation.Maintain corporate identity and design standards/guidelines globally.Assist with company website technical documentation updates and other digital assets as needed.QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, and EXPERIENCE.BA/BS Degree in Technical Writing, Technical Communication, Engineering (or related field), or equivalent work experience required.4+ years experience in engineering or work creating technical support documentation (technical illustration and technical writing).Mechanical/technical aptitude required.Basic understanding of electronics, hydraulics, programmable controllers, and engineering drawings/documentation.Proficient editing and proofing capabilities.Knowledge of website and database integration plus automation experience preferred.Experience with Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).SolidEdge or equivalent solid modeling/drafting experience preferred.Exceptional time management and organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple assignments.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard torace, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.We consider all qualified applicants, including those with criminal histories, in a manner consistent with state and local laws, including the City of Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance
