NOTE: This is a temporary, full-time position on our team starting on or after March 1, 2026 and ending on November 13, 2026. This role is not part of the bargaining unit Work as part of a team with digital strategists, developers, client representatives, and other designersCollaborate in design discussions between the creative team and other Middle Seat teamsUnderstand the current creative landscape in political design and ensure that we are helping set trends in the space -- not just responding to themOffer creative direction and feedback to designers on the Middle Seat team and design contractors as needed As needed, lead team training sessions on new tools, processes, and best practicesContribute to new client pitchesOther responsibilities as requested 2+ years of experience in digital design field — including a portfolio of your workDesire to learn and improve design skills as a part of a growing teamAdvanced proficiency in standard design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Canva, and FigmaProficiency in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premier, Final Cut Pro, or similar softwareDemonstrated commitment to progressive politicsAttention to detail and organization while managing tight deadlines and multiple projectsEnjoy working with a team but also a self starter who will work with their manager to take on new projects Able to work extended hours when needed.
