Graphic Designer, University AdvancementPosition Summary: The Graphic Designer will provide strong visual designs to meet the marketing and communication needs of the Office of University Advancement, responsible for the University’s overall fundraising, stewardship and alumni/donor engagement initiatives as Villanova embarks on the public phase of its Comprehensive Campaign. All materials must reinforce overall University Advancement messages and key capital campaign messages while adhering to the University’s brand and reputation. This position has 19‑month funding.Villanova is a Catholic university sponsored by the Augustinian Order. The University is an equal‑opportunity employer and seeks candidates who understand, respect and can contribute to the University’s mission and values.Duties And ResponsibilitiesProvide visual designs that meet the Marketing and Communication goals of University Advancement, focusing on materials supporting Villanova’s capital campaign.Collaborate with the Art Director and Marketing/Advancement Communication teams to design materials that reinforce key campaign messages and uphold the University’s brand.Maintain productive relationships with University Advancement Communication to ensure materials are audience‑appropriate and effective.Manage the design project workflow from concept to production, adhering to timelines and budgets, and record tasks in the design job‑tracking system.Perform additional duties and assist with projects as assigned.Minimum Qualifications Formal education: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.At least 3 years of graphic design experience, including experience in a design agency or in‑house team.Portfolio demonstrating print and digital design and production skills.Work SkillsAbility to handle multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment with frequent deadlines.Strong teamwork, creative, conceptual, decision‑making and communication skills.Flexible, energetic self‑starter who enjoys collaboration across constituencies.Commitment to the University’s Catholic Augustinian heritage and its mission.Specific Job KnowledgeProven knowledge and experience with traditional and digital graphic design, production design, and photographic design treatments.Experience working with and adhering to brand guidelines.Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and macOS.Understanding of print production phases and file preparation for commercial printing.Experience with project‑management software to track projects and hours.Preferred Qualifications Experience in an academic, fundraising, or non‑profit environment.Experience creating digital and motion graphics using Adobe Animate, Adobe Express, or Adobe After Effects.Physical Requirements And/or Unusual Work HoursWillingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.Salary Posting InformationGrade 14 salary range: $57,200‑$71,500.
