Graphic Designer ​/ Visual-Digital Media Director

If you want to use your skills to build a healthier, more resilient community, we encourage you to apply.This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (BHDD), Central Office, 400 Otarre Parkway Cayce, SC 29033.As the Graphic Designer, you will bring BHDD's communications to life visually, producing high-quality, on-brand design across print, digital, product and environmental formats to meet the agency's communication needs, from statewide campaigns to local outreach toolkits.Responsibilities for the Graphic Designer:Design and produce print and digital materials across all formats, including flyers, brochures, posters, social media graphics, presentations, banners and signage. Ensures all design work meets BHDD brand guidelines and ADA accessibility requirementDevelop and maintain a library of branded templates, including presentations, flyers, social graphics, and newsletters, that agency staff, partners, and vendors can use and modify independently. Contribute to maintaining and evolving agency design standards.A bachelor's degree and relevant experience.Additional Requirements:A degree in graphic design or a related field, or equivalent work experience and a portfolio demonstrating the KSAs listed in the Additional Comments section.Post hire, employees must have (KSA):Proficiency with professional design software, including the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Canva.Working knowledge of layout, typography, and color as they apply to print and digital materials.Ability to design accessible documents that meet Section 508 and ADA requirements.
