Graphic Designer with signage experience

Works closely with sales team, project managers, and production to produce drawings for clients, add production details, and prepare files for production Occasionally works with co-workers, clients, & vendors with file transfers Graphic Designer determines size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, select style and size of type, and arrange layout based upon available space, aesthetic design, and production requirements Prepare comprehensive illustrations, sketches, layouts, and copy for print reproduction according to instructions of client or supervisor Allocate appropriate amount of time to each drawing Inspect jobs for accuracy before sending them to team members / production; ensure correct material is used for each job and output device settings are accurate Customer logo maintenance and sourcing: scanning, editing, using the CSS Digital Asset Library, etc. Perform daily/weekly computer back- ups; archive files as necessary Great Attitude / Team Player Very Reliable/Great Attendance Good understanding of Scale & Aspect Ratios Detail Oriented - must maintain high level of focus throughout workday in order to limit costly mistakes Able to visualize 2-d designs in 3-d space: understand dimension and depth Willing to travel as required to perform his/her duties Document & maintain records of work submitted & performed Must be comfortable sitting at a computer for most of the 8 hour work day Strong communication skills; able to compose talk through challenges, compose clear emails Ability to receive and deliver constructive critiques Thrive under pressure, within tight deadlines Show initiative and have the ability to work effectively both independently and under the direction of the Director of Design Ability to work as part of team to create a larger design, or to complete a small portion of a big project Ability to learn new software or programs Reports directly to Director of Design Preferred Qualifications: Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from 2 year college or technical school, 3-5 years of proven work experience in the sign industry, valid driver's license, Degree in Graphic Design preferred but not necessary Software: CorelDraw X4 or higher, Corel PhotoPaint, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher), Dropbox/file sharing software, Roland VersaWorks, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop
