Your employment will be legally administered through Remo First, while your day-to-day work is led by Porch Group.Job Summary The future is bright for the Porch Group, and we’d love you to be a part of it as a Graphic DesignerWe produce advertising for businesses across print and digital channels. This role is responsible for designing and producing those advertisements at volume, on deadlines set by our print schedule.The work is primarily production design: building advertisements to established templates and specifications from written instructions and client-supplied materials. Client-supplied text, images, and copy are frequently weak. Improving that material into advertising that actually works is a core part of the role.What You Will Do As A Graphic DesignerDesign print advertisements to established templates and specificationsPrepare press-ready files, including bleed, CMYK conversion, resolution, and font handlingDesign email and social advertising creativeExecute revisions and corrections to existing advertisements, frequently on short noticeProofread all work prior to releaseEnter and maintain advertisement data accuratelyCoordinate with the sales team on questions, revisions, and production issuesWork directly with clients by phone and email to collect assets, make changes, clarify requirements, and confirm approvalAI ToolsWe use AI tools in our production workflow and expect a working familiarity with them:Generative fill and expand, for resizing, extension, and image cleanupDrafting and iterating advertising copy with a language model, to strengthen copy and shorten design timeDeep expertise is not required.Please describe the tools you use and how you apply them in your application.What You Will Bring As A Graphic DesignerA degree in graphic arts, design, or a related field is welcome but not required.3+ years of experience in print and digital advertising designAdvanced InDesign proficiency. InDesign is the primary program in our workflow and this requirement is firmWorking proficiency in Photoshop and IllustratorExperience preparing files for commercial pressEnglish proficiency at a C1 level or higher, written and spoken. This role includes live phone calls with US-based clients, taking direction and confirming changes in real timeStrong proofreading skills in EnglishAbility to manage an independent workload against a production calendarWillingness to work from written direction and adapt to process changesExperience in direct mail, coupon, or offer-based advertising Experience designing within small, fixed ad dimensions and tight copy limitsFamiliarity with co-op or multi-advertiser print formatsHigh-volume production experience, producing many advertisements for many small businesses rather than a few large campaignsExperience working with global and/or US based business teamsWorkspace: A quiet space to work, an internet connection of at least 30 Mbps download | 10 Mbps uploadPortfolioProvide a portfolio of your design work.
