Durham-based DesignHammer is seeking to hire a graphic designer looking to create visually striking and highly usable websites for our clients while growing professionally. The Graphic Designer will report to the Design Partner. * Self-motivated and detail-oriented who can work independently * Able to contribute as a team player on an interdisciplinary team * Strong written and oral communication skills * Competent in graphic design, color theory, layout and typography for the Web * Proficient with Adobe applications * Experienced in hand-coding valid HTML, CSS (JavaScript a plus) * Experienced in WordPress or Drupal theming a big plus * Familiarity with IBM Design Language and IBM’s Carbon Design System a giant plus * Able to communicate with clients and manage their workloads to meet shifting deadlines and budgets * Looking to play a role in shaping the online presence of local, regional, and national organizations Describe in your cover letter the type of work you have done, and what you are interested in doing in the future, as well as what you would like to learn to do.
