Graphic Designer/Production Artist

We are a well-established, local sign company looking for a proficient, hard-working Graphic Designer with sign shop experience. DUTIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to): • Creating the design of various sign projects using Adobe Illustrator and/or Gerber Composer • Working directly with coworkers and customers on design, creative direction, creation or proofs, and file transfers • Managing customer projects through the entire design and production process • Inspecting jobs for accuracy and quality control • Keeping a clean and organized work area • Running and maintaining large format digital printers and plotter equipment • Assisting the production personnel with weeding, masking, laminating and applying vinyl, as needed • Occasionally answering phones and helping walk-in customers • Works on different projects simultaneously • Establishes and maintains effective team relationships with all support departments • Follows all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes • Must be able to take direction and follow specific instructions give, this is critical to the position • Previous sign or print industry experience preferred, especially experience using a Roland Eco-Solvent Printer and vinyl plotter • Proficiency in creating and manipulating vector graphics • Must be proficient in Adobe products, specifically Illustrator and Photoshop • Very strong communication and interpersonal skills • Experience plotting, weeding, masking, and installing vinyl is a plus • Vinyl wrap experience is a plus • Motivated and a self-starter • Must be able to take creative criticism • Professional appearance and attire • MUST have own reliable transportation Job Types: Part-time, Full-time Experience: • Graphic design: 1 year (Preferred) • Adobe Creative Suite: 1 year (Preferred) • Adobe Illustrator: 1 year (Preferred)
