Interdependently creates original visual assets and designs various collateral for print, digital, and multimedia applications that reflect the university's mission, vision, values and work within the established brand guidelines. Fully executes original design projects based on existing brand guidelines for a variety of audiences and stakeholders. Participates in brainstorming and ideation sessions, contributing collaboratively alongside other creative team members and project stakeholders to ensure the product applies the best practices and best ideas in their work and the work of their colleagues Successfully communicates ideas, rationale, and specifics of design solutions Responds collaboratively to project revisions, seeking solutions that meet best practices while understanding and resolving concerns from various subject matter experts Required Qualifications Associate's degree and at least 3 years professional experience in Graphic Design or related field; or bachelor's degree and at least 2 years professional experience in Graphic Design or related field Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Working knowledge of industry standard design software Working knowledge of best practices in print and digital communication Ability to work within established brand guidelines Proven written and verbal communication skills Ability to balance multiple projects with varying degrees of complexity and involvement, prioritizing tasks appropriately Works independently as well as under guidance from senior team members Works well under time constraints or to a deadline Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years professional experience in Graphic Design or related field (Field of Study: Graphic design or related field) Knowledge of print processes and techniques Knowledge of digital design principles and techniques (responsive layouts, basic CSS, fundamentals of good UX/UI) Knowledge of motion graphics design and animation techniques Knowledge of video and photography production (including shooting, editing, retouching) Knowledge of social media content creation (planning, designing, and producing platform-appropriate graphics, video, and motion assets and making adaptable for multiple platforms—Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X) This position will work on creative that is applied across various channels, experience working deeply in one or more of these categories or some basic knowledge across all three would be beneficial: Work Location: Onsite at the University of Tennessee Knoxville Winston College of Law Compensation and Benefits UT market range: MR09 Application Process: Interested individuals should apply by February 28 th , 2026 For full consideration, applications should be accompanied by a cover letter, resume, and names and contact information for three professional references.
