The Graphic Designer/Sales Associate is responsible for following through on all customer shipping and graphics orders, will make regular updates to website as needed and do volume copying as necessary. In addition to design skills and technical expertise, the Graphic Designer must be highly collaborative by nature and must have demonstrated strengths in graphics design, project management, and communication.The ideal candidate has a Associates/Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, or a related field; at least two years of experience in graphic design or in the print industry, and is skilled in copyediting/proofreading and desktop publishing. He or she must have full mastery of various software design programs including Adobe-based platforms (Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) for PC.RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms all Sales Associate functions including shipping, packing, mailbox management and notary servicesPrepares and assembles images and illustrative material and copy and manages layout for publicationDevelops creative concepts and builds graphic solutions for customersPrepares/completes the creative concepts, graphic design, pre-press work, and technical specifications necessary to complete projectsCompletes pre-press set up in Adobe based platforms (Acrobat InDesign, Pagemaker, Illustrator, Photoshop) for PCCommunicates effectively with customersDevelops and maintains accurate customer files based on production work flowProduces/designs, proofs, and updates materials for customer projectsDevelops as a team player and is critical to the production processConsistently follows up on production activity using various communication methods (telephone, email, etc. )Performs other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSAssociate's/Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, or a related field preferredTwo years of experience in graphic design or the print industryStrong computer and internet skills (multiple platforms)Expertise with Adobe based platforms (Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)Able to manage and optimize workload, prioritize multiple projects, and streamline the production flowMust demonstrate extreme attention to detail in design workSkilled in copyediting/proofreading and desktop publishingMust have a clean background and will become a Notary Public as soon as possible by taking the necessary steps to qualifyMust be dependable and punctual and assume store open and close responsibilities as assignedMust be an energetic self-starter who is driven to succeedExcellent written and verbal communication skillsNeat, clean, and professional appearance#J-18808-Ljbffr
