About the position

The Technical Communications & Creative Services Specialist (Graphic Designer/Technical Writer) combines strategic communications, graphic design, digital media production, technical writing, project coordination, and documentation management to support agency communications initiatives and technology implementation efforts. In support of the Communications Department, the role develops and produces visual and written materials across print and digital channels, including publications, presentations, informational materials, and digital communications. The role also contributes to communications planning, creative development, brand consistency, and the delivery of clear, accessible materials that advance agency priorities and engage internal and external audiences.\n\nThis is a one-year, onsite position in Jackson, Mississippi.

Responsibilities

Develop and produce visual and written materials across print and digital channels, including publications, presentations, informational materials, and digital communications.Support agency communications initiatives and technology implementation efforts through strategic communications, graphic design, digital media production, technical writing, project coordination, and documentation management.Contribute to communications planning and creative development.Maintain brand consistency and deliver clear, accessible materials for internal and external audiences.Support process optimization and internal documentation.Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field, such as Information Services, English, or Communications.Effective communication, organizational, and time-management skills.Strong writing, editing, and visual communication skills, with the ability to adapt style for different platforms and audiences.Proficiency in process optimization and internal documentation.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Professional experience in graphic design, digital media, or communications.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word), Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign), Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Adobe Workfront, Google Workspace, Smartsheet, Confluence, Lucidchart, and SAP Business Network.The posting states 7+ years for communication, organizational, and time-management skills; writing, editing, and visual communication skills; and process optimization and internal documentation.
