Graphic Designer/Web Designer

Overview: Responsibilities for this role include: • Collaborate with the marketing communications team to create visually appealing and effective marketing materials, including brochures, posters, infographics, web layouts, and social media graphics • Develop innovative and compelling visual concepts that align with marketing strategies and objectives • Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent visual identity across all materials • Optimize graphics and web layouts for various digital and print channels to enhance user experience • Coordinate with the knowledge management team as needed for publication of web content • Coordinate with UI/UX designer to ensure web content provides an engaging and user-friendly experience • Collaborate in the creation, maintenance, and improvement of web content • Make recommendations for improving web content accessibility • Ensure products conform to all production standards, copyright laws, accessibility compliance requirements, and public release protocols • Conduct technical quality checks • Manage an approved concept and build it in HTML/CSS so it complies with responsive design principles • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in design, web development, and user experience to inform and improve design decisions Security Clearance: Secret Location: Crystal City, VA, with some remote work possible after onboarding Required Education, Experience, and Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, web design, multimedia, or a related field • At least 3 years of professional experience as a graphic designer/web designer • Proficiency in graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Sketch, or similar tools • Strong understanding of web design principles, user experience, and responsive design • Strong working knowledge of relevant MS applications, including Visio • Proven development of innovative and impactful solutions • Extensive experience supporting the development, preparation, production, coordination, and editing of a range of products • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate marketing objectives into visually compelling designs • Experience designing materials for diverse audiences, including individuals from different cultural backgrounds and age groups • Ability to use design elements to communicate complex information in a visually engaging and accessible way • Portfolio highlighting a diverse range of design projects, including graphics, web layouts, and marketing materials • Active Secret Clearance REQUIRED • Experience with U.S. Army a plus
