Reporting to: Production Manager

Hours: Full Time: 40+ hours per week

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shift

Location: Ocala, Florida

JOB SUMMARY

AMI Graphics is a nationally recognized, large format print manufacturer specializing in the design, print, production, and installation of sports facility, event, commercial, and retail signage. We currently have a position open for a sign fabricator / installer position. This position will work mainly in our adhesive department while also assisting in offsite installations. Applicant should have 2+ years of experience in a sign and graphics production environment. Preferred, but not required. Relevant work history is a plus. We are willing to train the right candidate.

Key responsibilities & duties

1. Installation will consist of applying vinyl graphics to multiple substrates in shop or offsite and installing signs using glues, tapes and specific hardware.

2. The sign installer needs to be competent in both sign production, basic construction and installation techniques.

3. Through this process you will work with a variety of media (such as vinyl, wood, metal, etc.).

4. The position will heavily involve driving to the various worksites to install signs / graphics. In some cases, you will be asked to do overnight trips.

5. The successful person can work independently and in a team environment depending on the project.

6. While in the shop the position will include weeding vinyl, masking, cutting materials, painting, assembling signs.

7. Ability to achieve results while taking pride in the product you create.

Qualifications

▪ Good driving record

▪ Operate basic hand and power tools, utilize a tape measure, level, ability to read shop orders and installation diagrams.

▪ Knowledge of basic sign installation tools.

▪ Strong attention to detail, trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

▪ Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

▪ Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. Able to work on ladders and lifts, you should be comfortable with heights.

▪ Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds at times. Physical stamina to perform manual labor. Must be able to stand for prolonged periods
