Growing Charleston SC print and graphic company seeking full-time day shift Production Manager to run and maintain our fast-paced production and print facility. This is an opportunity to work closely with a talented team on small and large projects, offering our clients an in-depth personal experience to maximize the full potential of their projects. The successful candidate must be ambitious and entrepreneurial minded as well as having a positive attitude and a team-work mentality

Graphic Production Position:

Working with clients and our graphic design team, the Graphic Production Position is responsible for offering various solutions to realize the client’s vision as well as managing the print production team to facilitate its fabrication within deadlines. This requires an understanding of different vinyl films substrates and applications, good customer service skills as well as digital design and print software knowledge. Knowledge of Print Graphics Industry is a must.

Position Type: Full-Time 9:00 am- 5:30pm; willing to work occasional weekends.

Job Type: Salary Commensurate to Experience, plus monthly bonus program based on profitability.

Qualifications:

2-5 years of related experience operating similar equipmentDriver's License RequiredDuties:

Operating Plotter, Router, Canon UV Printer, Latex Printer and Mutoh UV ADA Layered PrinterAbility to build all types of signageManage and optimize workload and production materials, prioritize multiple projects per due dates, and streamline the production flowMaintain EquipmentOrganization of Production FacilityInventory and Product OrderingReview Work Orders and organizing projects per notesLiaison with Design, Sales and Accounting DepartmentsSkills and Abilities:

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe SuitesComplete pre-press set up in Adobe based platforms (Acrobat InDesign, Pagemaker, Illustrator, Photoshop) for both Mac and PCProficient in the ONYX Rip SoftwareCreate Job Tickets for production.Prep files for print and / or work with the design team to prep files for print.Print proofs and obtain approvals from clients and ensure proofs are approved prior to print.Loading and unloading specified materials, attending to any issues with printers/routers and ensuring the overall smoothness of the job.Operate all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach othersMaintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment. Capable of performing all troubleshooting proceduresFrequently multi-task while maintaining extreme attention to detail and high-quality controlUnderstand color management and apply file adjustmentsMonitor inventory of supplies needed and keep supplies neat and orderlyDocument and list all equipment problemsHighly self-motivatedGood communication and people skillsDevelop and maintain relationships with Vendors to uphold print production.Reads and understands all job requirements before beginning desktop processDemonstrates dedication and persistence to successfully finish tasksAble to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment and multi-taskExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong decision making and communication skills to ensure client’s needs.Can be flexible and adapt to challenging situations.
