Graphic Production Technician-2nd Shift (\$23.23+)

About the position

Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh company, is hiring a Graphic Production Technician. The role is responsible for creating artwork and graphics, working with customers on requests and change orders, and reading prints to identify materials needed for applications. Technicians use measurement and leveling tools and maintain a clean, safe work environment. Most openings are on second shift, which runs Monday through Thursday for four 10-hour days; overtime may occur at the end of shifts, on Fridays, and occasionally on Saturdays. Shift times and overtime vary by position, department, and location.

Responsibilities

Communicate with coworkers to help maintain a safe working environment.Follow written and verbal instructions to complete tasks.Work with customers and address requests and change orders.Order special parts and inventory.Create graphics and materials for applications; design less complex graphics as needed.Cut out, outline, and prepare materials, graphics, and pieces for application.Set up, operate, and maintain graphics equipment and tools, including printing and measurement equipment.Measure and tape up trucks for applications.Measure for proper alignment and attachment of graphic applications.Read and interpret blueprints.Check and review checklists, work orders, and schedules.Monitor inventory of equipment, parts, materials, and related items; notify appropriate personnel of completions and complete required paperwork.Sweep and clean the shop area.Work required hours, maintain excellent attendance, and work overtime as needed.Maintain a clean and safe working environment.Requirements

Four or more years of experience applying graphics or comparable experience.Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.Strong interpersonal communication skills.Ability to recognize and react to abnormal operating conditions.Ability to use and wear personal protective equipment as appropriate.Ability to hear safety alarms and coworkers.Ability to provide customer service and advice on graphics and design concepts.Understanding and application of graphics principles and practices.Understanding and application of sealing and related painting principles and practices.Ability to prepare materials, graphics, and pieces for application.Ability to read a tape measure, safety manuals, work orders, and blueprints effectively.Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and coworkers and identify safety issues.Ability to maintain balance while walking or standing on potentially slippery floors and while climbing portable steps, ladders, and trucks.Ability to lift and manipulate parts or equipment weighing up to 35 pounds.Ability to tolerate constant standing and occasional awkward positions while completing tasks.Good hand-eye coordination and ability to use both hands for tool operation and graphic application.Ability to remember task sequences and safety constraints.Nice-to-haves
