Position Summary/Objective:PBR is seeking an entry-level graphic/production designer to join our creative team. Reporting to the Sr. Creative Director, this position is responsible for production of a wide range of printed and digital materials. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Apply conceptual thinking and creativity to complex design problems, from conception to productionAdept at design for digital applicationsUnderstands Brand identity and logo developmentDesign and produce print-ready files for marketing materials including point-of-sale, arena signage, print ads and collateral, out-of-home and more Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Collaborate closely with the Creative Department’s Director, Project Manager, graphic designers, and video editors • Communicate effectively with other departments when producing collateral • Ability to distill complex briefs and objectives into single-minded ideas with outstanding creative solutions • Ability to prioritize, solve and close issues • Excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment • Detail-oriented and well organized • Demonstrates a positive and cheerful attitude • Ability to multi-task on complex projects • Comfortable presenting concepts and campaigns to internal decision-makers and senior executives • Flexible and accommodating to the needs of the team • Effective written and verbal communication skills a must • Understanding of proper file format for digital, and print • Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator technical proficiency • Prepare final press-ready files based on supplied specifications for several types of printing and resolve any issue that arise • Provide image retouching, clipping paths, additional image manipulation and prepared for online, mobile, and print applications • Create PDFs for printers and large format sign machines • Conduct press checks • Follow a development timeline to ensure tasks are being completed on time Education & Formal Training: • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design/Visual Arts preferred Experience: • Must have a strong portfolio available in digital format (PDF or link)
