We are looking for a Graphic Artist to produce proofs and layouts in Illustrator that will be transferred to acrylic, glass and crystal. You will have an opportunity to learn and work independently while still participating as a member of the team.Job Overview:Creates mostly black and white line art and text layouts for engraving but will have opportunities to work with more colorful designsWorks with customers to provide proofs for aesthetic, clean layouts that will transfer to acrylic and crystal mediumsOrganizes proofs to ensure they are delivered to customers and production department in a timely mannerDesigns and prepares potential customer layout and design ideasAvailable to discuss or develop designs as needed for advertising and updated layoutsSends proofs to customers for approval then transfers them to film for engraving or color print on crystal once the customer has approved proofsConverses with customers on the phone when clarification is needed for artworkTraining will be providedCompensation is $18-$22 per hour depending on experienceJob Requirements:Trained and proficient in Adobe Illustrator (willing to learn other graphic programs)Proficient in Microsoft OfficeMust work in-office at company locationIs organizedWilling to work overtime in order to meet deadlinesThrives under deadlinesTakes ownership of schedule and ensures jobs are done well and on timeIs a team-playerIs detail-orientedReceives constructive criticism wellIs a self-starterIs Artistic – able to determine aesthetics and produce what appeals to the eyeIs dependable with excellent follow-throughBenefits: PTO, holiday pay, medical Insurance, sick payIf you are interested in this position please submit your resume along with a cover letter and list at least 2 personal and 2 professional references.
