Graphics Designer/Digital Printing Systems Operator (Anchorage, AK)

Growing, busy, fast-paced digital print and mail operation looking to fill a full time, permanent position for operators of mailing systems, digital printing systems and a graphics background or interest in design.

We are willing to train the right candidate for specific equipment and software applications we use on a daily basis. This position is very active and tasks can change from project to project daily as needed to meet deadlines. Must work well as a team member as well as individually while managing several tasks at once. This position requires graphics knowledge and some digital printing and mailing experience is preferred.

This position works Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with paid holidays.

This is an hourly position with pay depending on experience of applicant.

Primary duties are as follows:
-Organizing and preparing print files for printing and mailing on high speed digital printers, (black/white and color)
-Building and editing customer files for printing using Adobe Suite Products and company specific mailing programs.
-Operating inserting and addressing equipment, warehouse equipment, digital printers, folding machine, tabbing machine, cutter and mailing posting equipment, and loading print stock, etc.
-Organizing and preparing mailing lists for printing, merging, and mailing.
-Designing and editing postcards, newsletters, forms, envelopes, business cards etc. for printing and mailing.

*Mechanical aptitude and machine operating experience is advantageous.
*A good knowledge of postal preparations and regulations is desirable.
*Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator etc.), Microsoft Office and similar software knowledge desirable.
