Graphics & Production Art Designer

What you’ll be responsible for: ● Daily production of graphics for print and physical production ● Overseeing customer orders from initial concept to finished product ● Operation and maintenance of large format Epson printer and Mimaki vinyl cutter ● Coordinating the manufacturing of provided or created graphics between the Sales team and the Production/Installation team ● Managing inventory and supplies needed for day-to-day production What you need to know: ● Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat) required ● Layout and typography ● Color matching across CMYK, Pantone, and physical paint samples ● Understanding of printing processes and file preparation ● How to work within branding guidelines and provide guidance on areas of compromise for the needs of physical production ● Ability to communicate design principles and concepts to non-designers ● Teamwork and communication across multiple departments ● Ability to work under tight deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously What you’ll learn: ● How to operate and maintain various machines involved in large scale printing and vinyl cutting ● How to set up presentations for permit applications ● How to account for installation and production needs ● Which substrates and materials are best suited to outdoor and indoor signage needs ● Regulation requirements for commercial vehicles, ADA compliant signage, and outdoor directional signage Bonus if you: ● Have experience in manufacturing design or physical production work ● Are familiar with large-format printing processes ● Have worked with installation and interior design
